Our approach

We partner with clients to create a safe and confidential space for them to think about their professional and personal challenges, helping them to articulate their goals, achieve their potential and continue to learn and develop. Drawing on our experience and using a range of coaching techniques, we aim to bring the right mix of support and challenge to help clients move towards their goals.

Every client is unique, as is the context in which they work and the outcomes they are seeking. Sometimes goals change as coaching progresses.  

What's involved

Every coaching relationship starts with a free, no obligation, online session, at which we discuss what the client wants to get from coaching and consider whether and how we might work together. This includes agreeing the number and frequency of sessions, usually no more than six. If clients are sponsored, typically, we then have a three-way meeting to agree how both the organisation and the individual will benefit from the coaching experience, covering things like goals for coaching, confidentiality, progress updates etc.  

We can also offer Hogan personality assessment and feedback, which can create the context for self-awareness and growth.

Lynn Simpson

Lynn understands the need to find real world solutions in complex and challenging situations. She set up Thirteen Coaching because, having been coached herself, she knew how much more you can achieve with someone on your side.  Lynn is a qualified executive coach and Chartered FCIPD with over 30 years' experience as a trusted senior HR leader across sectors including manufacturing, finance, IT, engineering and public sector outsourcing.  Hogan Assessment certified, she has led transformation and organisation development interventions, including establishing talent programmes in the UK and internationally. She is a member of EMCC and subscribes to EMCC’s Code of Ethics. She works with people at different stages in their careers, from junior professional to chief executive, in public, private and listed companies as well as not-for-profit organisations.
